“What a hidden gem. The wraparound water-front view is spectacular. Accommodations are comfortable. Owners are wonderful. Morning fishing by numerous heron, fly-bys by eagles and other seabirds. The serenity and beauty make it hard to return home.”

“Everything was great. What a beautiful place. Makes one not want to go back to the real world. Such a nice place to watch the seals and birds. The full moon at night and all the stars. Wish we could have stayed forever – maybe Alice and Mina could adopt us? Ha!”

Little House on the Hood
I loved my stay at the ‘Little House on the Hood’
Could I stay there forever? Yes, I certainly could!Sitting on the porch as the tide comes and goes.
Escaping the city and all of my woes. The sun smiling down with a cooling breeze.
A peaceful euphoria – my time to seize. To watch the moon, over the mountain rise.
While kissing the stars and lighting the skies. These moments of time – my dreams of tomorrow.
I’ll never forget, with these memories to borrow.Share times together, at the ‘Little House on the Hood.”
Thankful I came and so thankful I could.Your gracious invitation, to your beautiful home.
My small little thank you, in the form of a poem.”M Jeanne Brown
Thank you to Alice and Mina
I stayed for 10 days to complete writing my book. Relaxing, comforting and calming with an ever-changing wildlife scene out the vast windows. I hope to be back soon.
Candace,
We are looking forward to your next visit when you finish your second book. Peace Weavers has a place of honor in Alice’s Little Beach House.
The place to go when you need the weight of the world off your shoulders. The salt air smell and the relaxing slap of the water on to the Oyster cover beach. Opening all the doors, putting up my feet and reflecting on the fact that I feel miles away from the Hustle and Bustle of life itself
I enjoyed the beach house so much this past July. What a lovely retreat. So private and right on the Canal. This is a perfect spot to celebrate an anniversary or just recharge your batteries.
The owners could not have been more accommodating.
